Sarah Annie Allison

Sarah Annie Allison was found dead in the River Tyne at  Newcastle Quayside on Tuesday 25 February 1958.

She had lived in Millway Sheriff Hill and was last seen on 7 January 1958 when she left home to post a parcel and do some shopping.

Her inquest heard that her cause of death was due to drowning and that there was no evidence to show how she came to be in the river.

An open verdict was returned.
